Our Principal started on Manchester sites at 18, became a chargehand by 24, and ran his first full house renovation at 28. The business was founded a year later, out of a simple complaint about the state of the local trade: too many builders over-promising, disappearing mid-job, and leaving homeowners to juggle a snag list across five different phone numbers.

The fix was always going to be a proper team. Today Sky runs an in-house crew of Manchester tradespeople — carpenters, plumbers, sparks, plasterers, roofers, renderers, groundworkers — people who have worked together for years and know how each other work. Our Principal acts as project manager on every job: gathering the right trades, sequencing the programme, and being the single point of contact for the client from first sketch to final snag.
